Waléria Araújo’s entrepreneurial journey began at a very early age. At just 13 years old, she found in the manicure profession the opportunity to gain her independence and build a better future. What started as serving friends and family soon turned into a business, driven by a simple strategy: offering the first treatment free of charge so that clients could experience the quality of her work.

Splitting her time between home visits and working from her own house, Waléria built her reputation in the community and, in 2017, converted part of her bedroom into a dedicated salon space, where she still welcomes her clients today. In 2019, following the loss of her mother, she found a new purpose in her career and decided to specialise as a nail designer, continuously investing in courses and professional development.

Today, her biggest dream is to strengthen her business even further and become a nail design instructor, sharing her knowledge and helping other women achieve their own independence through the profession.

“Running a business requires much more than talent. Through the Hub Project, I am learning new management, marketing, and planning strategies that will help me strengthen my business and achieve my dream of training other professionals in the field.”

More than just looking after the beauty of hands, Waléria believes in a humanised service based on listening, warmth, and trust. With dedication and purpose, she continues to show that entrepreneurship is also about transforming lives—starting with her own and inspiring many other women along the way.
