Michele Alves Freitas
Description: Manicure
Name: Michele Alves Freitas
Favela: Rocha Miranda
Michele Alves Freitas’s history with manicuring began long before it became her profession. As a child, she would watch a manicurist working in her back garden, completely enchanted by the nail polishes, clippers, and the entire world of beauty. She completed her first training course at the age of 15, but life took her down different paths; she worked as a shop assistant and a nanny before finding an opportunity at 21 to work in a beauty salon, where she stayed for 20 years.
In 2024, she decided to take a new step: to gain her independence and open Esmalteria Belíssima in the Lapa neighbourhood, fulfilling her dream of owning her own business. Alongside the nail salon, Michele also expresses her creativity as a cake designer, another passion that forms part of her journey.
Her goal now is to see the nail salon grow, expand the premises, offer new services, build a qualified team, and achieve financial stability.
“I joined the Hub Project to develop my nail salon and learn more about management, marketing, sales, and finance. I believe the Hub will give me the necessary tools to manage my business better and grow in a sustainable way.”
With talent, dedication, and a desire to learn, Michele continues to transform a childhood dream into a business that grows by the day, showing that entrepreneurship is also about believing in your own potential.
