The history of Espaço Bona Gente was born during a period of major challenges. During the pandemic, Tainá’s father, who had always worked at the beach, had to halt his activities. Determined to create a new source of income for the family, he built a bar on the rooftop terrace of his house with his own hands.With the return of beach activities, he decided not to continue running the business. It was then that Tainá and her husband, Matheus, saw an opportunity to transform that space into a family business.

While balancing the bar with their professions—she as a nanny and he as an air conditioning mechanic—the couple works to structure the business and build a future where Espaço Bona Gente becomes their main source of income.The objective is to strengthen management, expand the audience, and transform the bar into an increasingly welcoming space for community residents and visitors.

“Participating in the Hub Project has helped us better understand how to manage our business and face the challenges that already existed. We are acquiring knowledge that will be fundamental to transforming Espaço Bona Gente into the future we dream of.”

With unity, dedication, and a willingness to learn, Tainá and Matheus show that family entrepreneurship also means believing that great opportunities can arise even in the most difficult times.
